They very much are capable of the changes. That's not fun or immersive, that is work. Put in time repeating whatever content is currently rewarding the most gold per hour, and you'll eventually get your skin. There's no sense of earning most of the rewards in the game, it feels like you're working for them. Everything is random, and if you're hunting for a particular skin, you're pretty much just rolling the dice and praying for it to drop. Map rewards were a step towards correcting this, I think, but haven't done enough. Obviously in the early stages of a game, part of the mystery is figuring that out, but knowing that Mob X drops Sword Y, or running this dungeon gives you a chance at a special mount gives you the sense that you at least know what you need to work toward.īy trying to allow players to 'play any way they want', and homogenizing rewards across content for the most part, that's been eliminated in this game. Gear, achievements, housing items, vanity costume items, pets, mounts, gliders, badges, titles, etc.Įven more important, in my opinion, is the ability to know where you can consistently earn those things.
